OUR MINISTRIES
Women's Missionary Union
Women's Missionary Union endeavors to educate and involve preschoolers, children, youth and adults in the cause of Christian missions. WMU encourages participation in Operation Christmas Child, Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions and Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for Home Missions. Members donate frequently to our local DHR. WMU meets at 1 pm at the church on Thursdays after the second Sunday of each month. Members study missions in the USA and throughout the world. All ladies of the church are welcome to become a member of WMU.
Just Older Youth
Barfield Baptist Church JOY Club meets the first Wednesday of most months for a time of fellowship, games and food. This group of Just Older Youth welcomes everyone, whether a member of BBC or not, regardless of age. We have enjoyed traveling together on one day trips, and manage to find good places to eat. The monthly meeting is a good time to visit and enjoy Christian fellowship. Regular meetings begin at 10:30 and lunch is at 12:00.
Sunday School
Sunday School at Barfield Baptist is an exciting way to learn God's word and its application in daily life and to become equipped to serve, in a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere where relationships are formed and lives are transformed. Reaching the lost and developing the spiritual growth of believers through study, prayer and fulfilling the Great Commission are our aims as we support and encourage each other in the love of Christ. There is a class for everyone and we are waiting to welcome you with open arms!
Youth Ministries
The Barfield Baptist Youth Ministry is the future of our Church. Our goal as a youth group is to seek God First. Students find a place of acceptance through gathering and learning more about God through Bible studies on Wednesday nights and drama team practice on Sunday nights. We strive to make youth feel they belong and are important in their own special way We love to play games and worship our Lord and Savior. God has a plan and a purpose for each and every one of us. Music Ministry
Psalm 100:2 Serve the Lord with gladness: Come before His presence with Singing!
The Barfield Baptist Choir is an awesome place to serve God! We strive to combine both traditional and contemporary hymns in our Worship Services.
As Minister of Music, I have to say that there is only one thing that I ask of those who sing in the choir... A Heart of Worship. We are so blessed to have so many talented people serving God with their gift. We are a family that loves, cries, prays and worships together. I believe that everyone including myself has a God given calling to sing in the Choir. If you are searching for a way in which to serve God, we will welcome you with open arms. We practive every Sunday and Wednesday Night after the evening service.
